Motherhood- North Brisbane Family Photography

As I was taking the last frames from this session, she squeezed her babies and said.. "oh this here.. this is what I want to always remember." 

It wasn't perfect guys.. the boys were well over it all and there were more than a few midgees around biting us. However, even in that moment this beautiful mumma understood the importance of the photos we were taking. She felt it. Those little fingers curled around her neck and the feel of their little cheeks and hair against her face. It will never be perfect guys.. but it's always beautiful. That's motherhood.

I am blessed to have been asked to capture many other photographers and their families in the past. Whilst I am always gripped with anxiety beforehand, I really am so grateful to be asked to do so. It's so wonderful to know that these images are going to be treasured. A chance for them to shine on the other side of the camera. Chasing Light - North Brisbane Family Photographer

It took quite a few reschedules (thanks weather) for me to finally meet this little family, but like all the good things in life, these guys were totally worth waiting for. Sweet, loving, all the best kinds of fun. A family that truly appreciates the importance of their photos. And yes we had beautiful light.. but I think I could have met this family anywhere anytime and created beautiful images with them. Why? Because of their heart, their connection and their appreciation. For all the little things about their children and their life that could change at any point. 

I've said it once and I'll say it over and over and over. You can photoshop a lot of things.. I've seen some quite drab photographs transformed.. but LOVE guys.. love and connection.
