Welcome Little One - North Lakes Outdoor Family Photography

It was so great to finally welcome this little one after not being able to photograph during the last few months. Those sleepy shots are elusive once little ones are older, but how lovely is it to see those beautiful wide eyes and smiles instead? So grateful to be able to capture all the little moments and to see how much her big sister has grown too. Time flies, it really does. These are a few of my favourites.

And then there were five - North Brisbane Family Photographer

The youngest of five, and surrounded by so much adoration... and rightly so.. he's perfect. I just love seeing families change and grow. I first met these guys about four years ago and it was so good to see them again as I know just how much they treasure their photos. 

Time seems to have flown by since the session and I'm guessing this little love has long outgrown his newborn clothes and is probably sporting some cute My First Christmas onsie. This is why it's so important... it's all so fleeting. I was compiling some photo books today for my children from earlier this year, and already they look so, so different to just six months ago. Take the photos guys.. whether it's on your phones or by a professional... and don't just leave it there. Print your special memories. Make wall art, make calendars, make cheesy Christmas decorations and bookmarks and albums.  Let your children and your partners see how much you adore them, everyday. Make your home a tapestry of your memories. You'll never regret that.

I very often struggle to write blog posts. The truth is I can't seem to find the appropriate words. Photographs say so much more than anything I could clumsily string together. So I shall leave you with this collection of joyful, honest images and I hope the love this family has for each other and their new son shines through to you - the same way it did to me.

He is here. Already so much bigger than in these photos and absolutely treasured. Blessed with two sisters, one in heaven and one earthside. What a joy it's been to witness it. So great to finally meet this little sweetheart in the lead up to Christmas last year after all the weather delays. How did these guys ever exist without her?  I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is no wrong age/time to photograph the ones you love. Just different levels of squishiness!
