When I arrived to find this little love having a good old chuckle and conversation with her parents on the bed while they got ready, I forgot all about the grey and dreary day outside. You see, the world has waited a long time to hear these delightful sounds.
Born 3 months premature, and weighing a tiny 610g, this sweetheart has fought long and hard to be here, earning her the affectionate title of Warrior Princess at the hospital. Her loving parents are dear friends of mine, and my heart ached so much
for them when she was born, knowing all too well what the journey of
having a micro-prem is like.
I was so pleased to be invited to photograph her at 6 months of age, finally in her own home, safe and secure. Like many micro-prems her journey is far from over once coming home, but I know with these two parents by her side guiding her, there is no limit to what she can achieve.
